Over the long weekend students should be reviewing for the upcoming test on forces. They can use their notes on the different types of forces (which are posted on this blog) to review and become familiar with the terms and how to identify them. Students should also review their sheets on the forces and types of bridges. The test has been pushed back to Thursday, so they have a few extra days next week to practise.
Students also have math practise homework on fractions: p. 266 # 6-10. This is on comparing and ordering fractions. Students should be keeping an eye out for denominators that are the same to compare, or numerators that are the same. We discussed this in class today. A review of the lesson may help them as well.
Also, as part of an upcoming assembly, we are writing a song about conflict resolution. I have asked the students to think about ideas for our song. They do not have to be full lines or rhyming, just an idea about something we may add to the song (we can play around with it to make it fit and rhyme after). So far our chorus goes:
Conflict resolution
Is when you have a fight
But you solve it like friends,
And everything turns out right
Some lines we have with this are:
Disagreements, arguments, and fights
Happen to everyone, anywhere, day or night
If you can't work it out,
Just walk away
get help from an adult
And it'll be okay
